The fourth season of Game of thrones is swiftly coming to its finale, might as well squeeze some more posts out of it. Viewers of The Mountain and the Viper episode- no pun intended. Also we are discussing this topic thanks to Mr WS.
As we were watching the episode, I got a little (too) excited for the "promotion" of Ramsay. TH did not react. When I asked him if he isn´t happy for the newest Bolton, he said: "No, i hate him." And that got me thinking: Why shouldn´t he? He tortures people for fun, which is a sure sign of evil, even in the shadowy GoT universe. But at that moment I saw a boy trying hard to impress his father and the father finally approving. And that I understood. (Also the face... I do like the face)
We live in a world that looks heavily to the status. If you are promoted for being evil, is it a good thing? If your father demands things that are morally wrong, should you listen to him? If your company requires that you ignore some laws, should you be their employee? If your group of friends engage in activities that you consider bad, shouldn´t you speak up?
